Zac Brown Band Today
The Zac Brown Band is an American country music band based in Atlanta, Georgia, on the Southern Ground Artists label. The group was founded in 2000 by lead singer and guitarist Zac Brown, who was later joined by bassist John Driskell Hopkins, violinist/fiddler Coy Bowles, drummer Chris Fryar, and guitarists Clay Cook and Daniel de los Reyes. The line-up has since changed several times; Cook and de los Reyes both left the band in 2006 while Bowles took a hiatus from the band from 2008 to 2010 due to illnesses in his family. In 2012, Bowles returned to the band full-time and fryar switched to playing drums full-time as well.
The band has released six studio albums: The Foundation (2008), You Get What You Give (2010), Uncaged (2012), Jekyll + Hyde (2015), Welcome Home (2017) and The Owl (2019). their first three albums have all been certified platinum or higher by the RIAA.
